PROCESS AND REQUIREMENTS

Accreditation is a quality assurance process in which a higher education institution or an academic unit within an institution voluntarily submits to an external and independent evaluation of its educational activities

Programmatic accreditation by the European Association of MBA is mission and outcomes focused and involves an independent external evaluation of the business programs offered by the academic business unit of the institution.

EAMBA accredits business programs leading to associate, bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral degrees at institutions of higher education worldwide that award associate, bachelor’s, and/or graduate degrees.

EAMBA staff will work with faculty and administration of the academic unit to develop a comprehensive self-study to determine the strengths and weaknesses of the program and the level of compliance with EAMBA’s “accreditation guidelines.”  In addition, the Academic Business Unit will host a visit from an independent team of professional evaluators. The actual study, along with a report of the findings of the site visit team and the academic unit’s response to the report, will be reviewed by the EAMBA Board of Commissioners, which will make a decision on the accreditation status of the institution’s business programs.
